The important dates and deadlines for GLIMUN 2019 are:

How do I register for GLIMUN 2019?

Registration requires you to create, or sign into, your account, select the conference you wish to register for, provide us with the number of students attending and your committee and country preferences, and indicate whether or not you will be making use of GLICA’s discounted room block. Is food provided?

GLICA does not provide meals or meal service at any of its conferences. GLICA takes care to select only conference venues which offer a variety of conveniently accessible meal options within easy walking distance.

What is the dress code?

The dress code for all GLICA conferences is western business attire. Questions about what constitutes western business attire can be referred to your advisor.

How do I submit position papers?

Position paper submission requires you to sign into your account, select the committee topic you wish to submit the position paper for, and fill out the text fields presented. Position papers do not have a minimum or maximum length, but should adequately outline your country’s position on the topic and suggest at least the broad outlines of the direction you wish to see the committee go. What is expected of students?

Students are assigned to represent one of the countries in a particular committee. Students are expected to have read the committee background guides, to have conducted independent research into their country’s position on the committee topics, and to have drafted and submitted a position paper on each of the committee topics. Once at conference, students are expected to engage productively in committee debate and to participate in drafting written resolutions to address the ideas at-issue. Student conduct should be professional at all times while at the conference.

  • Double-occupancy Room: $144
  • Triple-occupancy Room: $154

What are the advisor/delegate fees for GLIMUN 2019?

The fee for each delegate is $50, or $60 if not staying at the conference hotel’s discounted room block. The fee for each advisor is $40, but if you recruit a new school, you advisor fee can be waived! Contact us for more details.
