Japan believes that healthcare is necessary and should be a part of all human’s rights. However rights of citizens must first be protected. Japan welcomes all ethnic groups to live in Japan. However disruption of daily life and cultures should not be permitted. A country is owned by the citizens of the nation. Japan thus thinks that each country should best decide which level of healthcare is best for its citizens. However Japan does not deny that universal healthcare no matter how little or small should be provided by all countries. To ensure this Japan believes that first a minimum standard of healthcare should be set, and second nations should work together to improve social conditions globally.
Japan believes that with the rising life expectancy in certain countries, healthcare is becoming a more pressing problem. Without healthcare citizens of a country may find themselves unable to support themselves. In order to qualify for aid from bigger countries, small countries would have to show dedication towards their own social wellbeing by supply a portion of government spending towards social welfare. Although Japan knows that not all countries can meet healthcare qualifications for all, Japan thinks that a guideline would be good for the future benefit of the world.
By producing healthcare for all, citizens would not find themselves unable to work. Emergencies happen and it is the government’s job to take care of its citizens. By providing healthcare, governments are preventing further catastrophe when something goes wrong. For instance if many people were laid off at once, what would these people do without their job sponsored healthcare? These people would have to pay out of pocket further putting them in debt. Although the government would have to pay more in order to support so many citizens with some kind of healthcare. Japan believes that it is in most countries favor to provide global healthcare.
The greatest problem so far is that not all countries believe it is their duty to provide healthcare. Rising taxes could be a huge concern for citizens but japan believes that the pros of global healthcare far outweigh its cons. Certain countries particularly third world countries would oppose this, since they do not have too much surplus revenue for healthcare spending. Also first world countries could oppose this since the idea of giving away money to small countries could be seen as unfavorable. But the main goal of this is to stabilize countries. By providing healthcare to everyone, accidents and emergencies would have a lesser impact on vital sectors.
Healthcare is a human right and everyone should be able to obtain a certain degree of it. Countries should provide their citizens with at least a small degree of healthcare to protect from uncertain circumstances. The United Nations should make a charter to persuade all nations to provide healthcare. Big countries could lend a hand to dedicated small countries.
