1)Healthcare is arguably one of the most important rights one possesses. It is essential that every human being on earth is entitled to being able to live a life where they can maintain their health and be able to live life without the constant threat of a simple disease or injury killing them. However healthcare as a human right is threatened in today's world. Not every country believes in this, and it is often forgotten. This problem is constantly seen throughout many countries most famously in Africa.
2)Nigeria takes a limited role in its nations healthcare. Healthcare in Nigeria is mainly handled by private companies. At the federal level Nigeria is mainly out of the picture. However at the State level, the State Government manages hospitals. This in part due to Nigeria's mixed economy. Only about 1.5% of Nigeria GDP goes to healthcare.
3)There are many possible solutions to Nigeria's problem. One such way to solve their ailing healthcare system would be to simply fund it better. With only 1.5% of its GDP going to healthcare, its funding is way to low to make a big effect on the people. Also the Federal Government could play a bigger role with its healthcare systems and focus more on it. Lastly, Nigeria's Government needs to implement systems where each person is being checked for to ensure that all citizens are getting equal treatment with each issue.
