Looking at recent history, it becomes obvious that nuclear programs are an essential topic that must be elaborately and tediously discussed. With the growing nuclear technology, it is becoming more and more realistic that nuclear energy will become a global way of obtaining reliable energy.
That being said, regulations be established, and opportunities need to be available to countries who are not super power nations. While nuclear energy has the potential to be a good thing, super power nations need to recognize the importance of including less fortunate countries in their pursuit of nuclear programs. This way, lesser countries are not left behind, and are not forced to turn to violence as their country crumbles while the super power nations thrive.
However, and most importantly, as the world becomes more and more violent and war torn, it is important to recognize that not all nuclear materials are used for good. Iraq, being a country submerged in terrorism and war, believes that regulations and supervisions need to be established for the possession of nuclear materials. With a history of possessing weapons of mass destruction, Iraq sees the benefit in establishing strict boundaries in what is and is not acceptable as far as possession, use, and handling of nuclear materials. However, realizing Iraq’s relationship with the United States and Iran, Iraq is willing to discuss and compromise on the flexibility and terms of these regulations, so long as they maintain or assist in the safety and well being of Iraq, and the Middle East as a whole.
