War that disrupts agriculture obviously has had an effect on our food shortages world wide. And many of the third world countries it affects are in conflict. Much land is left unused because it is unsafe. Crops are often burned and food is sometimes exploited or even used as a weapon. It is unclear what must be done regarding these other nations in conflict but something must be done.
While U.N. and especially U.S. involvement saved South Korea from Northern conquest, the R.O.K. wishes to move away from the protectionism of the United States and be completely independent. This is especially true of economic independence which has been previously somewhat controlled by the United States. Despite being militarily assisted in the past, the R.O.K. does not fully support militarily becoming involved with foreign nations. The R.O.K. feels there is often a better approach.
The R.O.K. feels intervention is sometimes necessary in foreign conflicts, but would advise against this. It is drastic and globally dividing. South Korea feels a peaceful approach to war involved with agriculture would be the most appropriate way to deal with the matter. This can be done in a variety of ways to avoid intervening in conflicts.
To sustain development and stability world wide a peaceful business like approach should be taken. If anything the huge demand for food should be met by underdeveloped nations who have the ability to gain that business and possess the required land for farming. But whatever is to be done the R.O.K. promotes peaceful solutions that involve war.
