Poland is committed to the advancement and increase of sustainable industries in developing countries. The introduction of environmentally sound industries will better the community, and with the integration of economic growth, social advancement, and environment protection into the developing world, the creation of successful countries will be assured.

The eight Millennium Development Goals were created to reduce poverty and improve conditions around the world. Ensuring environmental sustainability is one of these goals which was created to reverse harmful effects on the environment. To achieve this goal, energy use, carbon dioxide emissions, deforestation, and the reduction biological diversity must all be carefully monitored and reduced to conditions which our ecosystems can maintain. Poland fully supports the Millennium Development Goals, as well as the guidelines of the European Union’s development policy (which also support the reduction of poverty across the globe.)

Developing countries are a large source of this problem due to a lack of education, large population growth, and inadequate government restrictions. Through the improvement of these conditions, sustainable industry will be created and maintained. The introduction of green career pathways will also help developing countries enhance the environment around them.

To reach these goals, financial aid is needed to support the introduction of sustainable industries. The involvement of non governmental organizations should also be encouraged through individual countries. The enhancement of our environment is essential to maintaining our current lifestyle, and the poor management of a single country can affect many. Poland urges other nations to support the promotion of sustainable industry in developing countries.
