Over the past years, there has been an ongoing conflict between the Sunni and the Shia. These two different ethnic groups have been fighting for their lives, family’s, and land. Sudan Hassain was the man who had been holding these groups together for so long, and once the United States captured and killed him, all civilization fell apart. Sectarian violence is conflict between two groups that have different feelings on a particular thought. In this case this conflict was a religious disagreement. The Sunni mean “followers of the Traditions of the Prophet.” Their need to spread their thoughts was on of the reasons that there was a violent civil war in Pakistan. Both religions wanted to promote their side all over the world and wanted their law to rule.
The citizens of Canada are very liberal and certain aspects of the Iraq war they are very against. The citizens of Canada are against other countries taking over and getting involved in their issues. With this said, Canada has a very conservative government right now. As the leader, Stephan Harper, is in close terms with George Bush, therefore Canada fully supports the war in Iraq. They did not support Iraq with soldiers and invading the actual country. But aided them with money and supplies. They also aided them with advice and advisors. Canada helped with training officers and police in the post-Iraq.
This conflict has been an issue for the United Nations for a while, they have tried many times to pass a resolution on the issue and find it very difficult to resolve this issue.
