The United States is fully cognizant and wary of the threats that racism and ethnic discrimination can pose to the liberties and rights of the citizens of a country. We have taken many steps to promote and ensure racial equality in our nation and we believe the rest of the world should follow our example in order to form a brighter global future. Our goal, as the United Nations, is to promote peace and understanding between the many nations of the world. This cannot be accomplished without first creating such peace and harmony between each the people of each country.
In the United States’ Constitution, the vital document which holds the sovereignty of our nation, there is an amendment abolishing the restriction of suffrage based solely on race. This allows citizens of any race to have an equal say in their government, a policy that we would like the rest of the world to adopt as well. In addition, we do not discriminate within government hiring or policies, domestic or foreign. Both at home and abroad, the United States of America believes in freedom and equality for those of all nationalities.
The United States believes that the United Nations should continue their efforts to condemn racial discrimination and that every nation should attempt to put a halt to government programs that contain racial biases. All men are created equal and should be gauged by who they are, not what they look like.
