Ever since the creation of Israel and the displacement of the Palestinian people by meddlesome western powers there has been terrible and unnecessary violence in the region. Thousands of Palestinians and hundreds of Israelis have been the unfortunate victims of this conflict. There is no reason for this conflict to continue and it is the United Nation’s duty to do everything possible to end it.
Even after the west had the impudence to evict the Palestinians from their homes, they did not keep their agreement with the Palestinian people and stood idly by while Israel expanded their territory and pushed the Palestinians into a smaller area, leaving them destitute.
The United Nations owes the recognition of Palestine as a sovereign nation at the very least. Perhaps then the international community will no longer be able to ignore rights of the Palestinian people and will end the bullying of Palestine by Israel and the west. If the United Nations truly had any sense of equality they would restore the land originally promised to Palestine, and oblige Israel to return to its legal borders.
Given that the ideal situation will obviously never come to pass as long as the allies of Israel dominate the international community, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea feels that the best solution is to recognize Palestine as a nation and work to preserve what little territory it has left before Israel poaches the rest of it.
