With the declining health of North Korean leader Kim Jong Il, Nigeria would hope that the policies instated by Kim Jong Il would not be changed by his successor and son, Kim Jong Un. In the past, North Korea has been a major supplier to Nigeria with Nuclear technology along with the nations of Libya, Iran, Egypt, Pakistan and Syria. Nigeria hopes that the North Korean policy of “ Military First” will not be dropped as this is a economic stand by which Nigeria relies on. We, as one the most dominant military powers in Africa, wish to try and keep the on-going trade of nuclear technology continuous between North Korea and Nigeria. The topic of malnutrition is however one of great magnitude. Nigeria, as of 2002, launched its “ National Policy on Nutrition and Food” which sets goals such as the reduction of child malnutrition and the reduction of micronutrient deficiencies specifically in vitamin A, Iodine, and Iron. With the specific topic of child malnutrition, Nigeria has set goals for a thirty percent decrease in child malnutrition by the year 2010. To North Korea, we suggest that you adopt a plan of action discussing goals that you plan to make in hopes of decreasing child malnutrition and the health of your nation but at the same time, refrain from abolishing your military research. We hope future North Korean leader Kim Jong Un will not change his policies on military technology but make moves towards tackling the problem of child malnutrition.
