Ethnic violence is one of the most backwards and intolerant processes that continues to happen in the modern world. As members of the United Nations, France believes it is this committee's duty to do everything in its power to stop the acts of violence being committed currently in Kyrgyzstan. Individually, France is doing the most it can to support and protect the Uzbeks, and has already set up an embassy and ambassadors to meet with the Kyrgyzstani government and promote a transparent system with full respect for human rights.
In order to fix the very worst problem, France believes the special political committee should attempt to deal with Kyrgyzstan's other major problems as well. First, the corrupt system of leadership should be strongly encouraged (if not forcibly)to provide more transparency in its voting procedures. Ideally, a less corrupt and more responsible government will be able to prevent any future or current outbreaks of ethnic violence within the country. Whether we must use funding, workers, or other means, it is crucial that situations like that of Kyrgyzstan should be prevented and/or stopped at any cost.
As one of the more privileged and developed countries, France would like to offer its full support in favor of a resolution to both encourage better voting procedures and treatment of human beings, and would encourage its fellow countries to do the same. If we want to consider the world today as more humane or civilized, we must do away with these major violations of human rights.
