the Netherlands as a nation is united in the belief that the situation in Kyrgyztan should be at the top of the priority lists for the UN. This issue stirs up controversy in national economic and military relations, if the power of that country ends up in the wrong hands, it could mean the end to the largest united states air force base in the middle east. the Netherlands and its people recommend that the UN handles this situation with great caution, because you pull the wrong block out, and the whole tower comes crashing down. John Holmes from the united nations under-secretary-general for humanitarian affairs says on the status of Kyrgyztan "I have been shocked by the extent of the the violence and appalled by the deaths and injuries, widespread arson, sexual violence, looting of state, commercial and private property and destruction of infrastructure."
this report is cause enough for the UN to launch an appeal for humanitarian aid in Kyrgyztan, in which they did. an appeal that ended up weilding $71,145,639 million, this could make a major impact on the future of the UN's role in the middle east. The Netherlands firmly believes that with this campaign launched along with the 8 million dollar allocation that Kyrgyztan is recieving, it should be enough force to "reboot" Kyrgyztan sociologically. Additionally our deed will have established a sense of investment from the US to the middle east.
