Many places in this world are there people who have little to no rights after they have contracted a disease that will eventually kill them if they do not receive medical treatment or if no one comes up with a cure. Many countries are trying to make a change for the better regarding these individuals and trying to get awareness out for the disease to make people more knowledgeable. Developing countries are working together to ensure health care and development in their countries. The United States lifted a ban that would out law people with AIDS or HIV to visit their country. UNAIDS group has been having forums and discussions since it began. Helping to gain help and aid where it is needed. If the United Nations can continue this effort, they can hopefully make sure every country allows rights to HIV or AIDS individuals.
China admits we have made mistakes in the past, but we have been working to fix them. First in April 2010 China lifted a 20 year ban that kept foreigners with HIV/AIDS out. Second china has a created a partnership with certain African Countries called the South-South Partnership to make sure areas are equip and information is accessible is one of the primary goals. Strengthening healthcare systems to better treat these individuals is one of the main goals to ensure safety and health. Premier Jiabao is making an effort to incorporate AIDS control work in areas with ethnic minorities and less developed areas. Making economic development in less developed areas a starting point for AIDS and HIV information in these specified areas. China is also using the education system as a way to teach and inform our people.
China believes that an country with a motive to change for the better would be in favor of what china is in favor for. Specifically South Africa and many countries around there would be in favor of this. The United States as well would be willing to also help with ensuring rights to HIV/AIDS Individuals.
