Italy supports greening the United Nations System. We believe that all groups and countries should make an attempt to improve their environment. We have already made many green improvements to our country; our main improvement is our hydroelectric system, which gives a good amount of our energy. We also are trying to use other types of power; we continually grow our solar power system. But Italy will still reject nuclear power. No matter how green it is, we still believe nuclear power is a dangerous risk to our people. Italy is aware that it consumes far too much environmental damaging energy makers, but we also wish to remove our dependence of such materials and replace them with Italy-made green energy. Italy wishes to leave its dependence to both coal and gas and hopes the UN feels the same. Italy also supports European Union in its drive to improve urban transfer. The EU wishes to make the transport systems in urban areas greener, smarter, safer, and more accessible. Italy has a vast rail system that promotes all of our goals. We are not alone in our wishes to see the UN improve itself greenly, many European countries support this change, as well as the US and Canada. But as we have allies in this cause we also have enemies, some countries would rather gain money from environmentally-harming materials then help the world be a greener and better place. We shall continue to improve our countries environment, using green alternatives, and hope the UN does the same.
