While helping the environment and trying to go “green” is a good thing, the United Nations should focus on other issues 1st. If the United Nations has $15 billion dollars to spend, clearly they could use some of it to help developing countries develop. The United Nations can still try to go “green” though. Overall, the United Nations should try to help the environment, as long as it also helps developing nations.
Clearly, developing nations are trying to boost the economy in any way possible. Say that one way of doing this is through fishing. Now say that there was an oil spill, which had the potential to kill thousands of fish. If the fish die, that countries economy could be greatly impacted. Therefore, United Nations should definitely help stop oil. This could help save the environment, as well as other countries. Lebanon depends on tourism, agriculture, as well as oil refining. If the oil spills, Lebanon's economy could be greatly impacted. Overall, the United Nations should help the environment.
Clearly, other developing countries should agree with this statement. As well as more established countries, who rely on tourism. Who would want to visit a country that is filled with trash and garbage. In fact, all countries should believe in trying to go “green”. As it is your own country, which we should greatly cherish and show patriotism to. Overall, the United Nations should help the environment and try to go “green”. As long as it is mainly through pollution and other economical affecting issues.
