Argentina has made miraculous strides towards gender equality over time; this includes the right to education. As a country that began with a male-dominant approach to education, we have modernized our culture and have made education equally accessible to women as it is for men.
Argentinian states have apportioned educational resources equally to both males and females. Our goal is to have a diverse community of well rounded civilians, and to eradicate all former notions of male-dominancy. In times of economic crisis, Argentina first cuts government spending in order to lower the budget deficit, as we did in 2001. Education resources are never cut, for every citizen has the write to schooling. As early as 1910, Argentina has been considered a leading Lain American nation for gender equality.
Schooling in Argentina has always been free, be it primary school, secondary school, or university. Clearly, education is a top priority. Much like other countries, a class system is in place in Argentina. With this, the average social biases are in place. The lowest earning class of civilians typically has the least amount of women attending school, for they are needed to help provide for their family. This is typical in any region, although Argentina has made efforts to eliminate this bias; one way of doing this is by continuing our belief of free schooling to all Argentineans.
Education is a key way to end many other major issues in society, such as child marriage, detrimental poverty, and crime. Argentina eliminates the anxiety of paying for schooling by making it free to all people. With this, Argentinian women are empowered in areas where other countries in the world may tear their women down. Argentina believes that women must have just as many rights to education as men do, and we are willing to converse with nations that do not currently have the same view.
