Everyone, male or female, deserves the right to education. Education is important to both the student and the society itself. It not only educates the student with knowledge but helps them learn things they will have to overcome and meet in the future. Every country has different views on if females deserve as much education as males. In Ireland, the government believes that both genders should get the same amount of education. Education is required by law for children in Ireland from the ages of 6 to 16 or until the student has completed three years of second-level education.
There are three levels of education in Ireland, first is the Primary education which is mostly language, mathematics, social, environment, and scientific education, arts education including visual art music and drama, physical integration, social personal and help education are taught also.
Next is Second-Level education, it consists of a three-year junior cycle, followed by a two year or three year senior cycle depending on whether an optional Transition Year is taken the following year. Students usually commence the junior cycle at the age of 12. The Junior Certificate is taken after three years.
Lastly is the Third-Level education which is made up of a number of sectors. The university sector, the technological sector and the colleges of education are substantially funded by the state. In addition there are a number of independent private colleges.
So from the information given, we can clearly see that the girls are getting the education that is needed and more if they desire.
