Healthcare, within recent decades, has become a rapidly growing concern throughout the international community. Many nations exist without healthcare and are suffering from numerous deadly diseases. Those countries that do have healthcare, however, are rapidly falling into financial debt through mishandling of the healthcare system. Many countries need to realise that healthcare is a human right because all people deserve to be treated, not just those who can afford it.
The Kingdom of Norway offers a comprehensive and rather straightforward model that has been very successful and helpful to its citizens over the years.. It provides universal healthcare to all of its citizens. Not just the poor, the wealthy, immigrants or natural citizens. Everyone, no matter what, is given a basic level of healthcare. This is a model that has been successful and should be implemented elsewhere because it helps to promote the health of a country’s citizens.
The Kingdom of Norway realizes that not every nation can provide healthcare to all of its citizens at the moment. Developing countries and those in financial ruin are just not able to provide universal healthcare at the moment. However, The Kingdom of Norway wishes to encourage these countries to strive for universal healthcare so that healthcare is made a human right by offering incentives to do so through the United Nations. The Kingdom of Norway would be willing to align itself with any nation or nations that also believe in this goal.
