The Dominican Republic understands that there needs to be some improvement within the Political Conflict Resolutions Mechanisms. The Dominican Republic feel that the United Nations should only step into conflict when asked to. For example, the United Nations need to offer support, but if the support in denied, then they need to stay out of the conflict. The acceptation would be if the conflict is going to spread world wide and cause many casualties or hurt economies.
The Dominican Republic feels that the United Nations need to receive permission before stepping in on other countries' business. The Dominican would accept support to protect the boarders from drug routes to the United States. The United Nations is violating countries' sovereignty, when they are not asked to help. The Dominican feels it is necessary for the United Nations to review and amend these current mechanisms. Unless aid is required from the United Nations, the United Nations should not interfere. The conflict should be attempted to be solved by the countries affected by the issue.
The Dominican Republic understands that the United Nations need to support the world, but there need to be limits when it comes to other countries business. If they are asked to help resolve conflict they may step in, but other than that they need to stay out of other countries' business. Unless the issue is going to affect everyone world wide, like an infectious disease.
