Immigrants make up much of countries populations. This fact makes it important that they are treated the same as natural born citizens. It is also important that the there is high regulation of immigrants. For developing countries there will be many trying to leave. There will be different groups coming in to influence developing countries to make decisions like them. These are some of the many reasons there should be strict laws for regulating immigration.
Rwanda has gone through a traumatizing experience being the genocide. A direct impact of the genocide has been many refuge Rwandans leaving. Now that Rwanda has rebuilt and has recovered eminency many refuges are immigrating back. Rwanda’s immigrating population has exceeded its emigrating population. New travel documents have been introduced to facilitate movement of Rwandans. To continue the growth some new laws have been passed. One being a New Immigration Law No O4/201, this law is to attract skilled workers, promote investment, tourism and enhance national security. Different levels of visas are also another technique to helping facilitate immigration.
In conclusion immigration regulation should be tightened. Immigration is a great way to enhance the population of developing countries. Immigrants that can help the development of countries are an important factor of a countries success. All immigrants should be treated the same. Laws should be in place to insure equal treatment. Rwanda having many returning refugees wants its people to feel welcome back. All countries should be as welcoming to their returning people, as well as refuges from other countries. Recruiting skilled workers from other countries is a way to enhance the countries profit.
