The problem of diseases spreading across borders is difficult in every perspective . Beginning with the point that for diseases of all kinds , there are no borders . Diseases stays diseases , no matter in which continent, in which country or under which government they occur. When we are trying to combat international diseases , it shouldn’t matter where and who is involved . Our all welfare should be the mayor goal.
But where the primary steps that should be taken is in the each country . A country needs to be able to provide a health care and medical support in the place where it is necessary. Azerbajin has benefited directly from increased oil revenues although the state budget for health is among the lowest in the Newly Independent States . Especially Azerbajian´s primary care services are not well developed and facilities are often in very poor condition, some lacking in water and electricity. With 65 years the life expectancy of Azerbajianis is still under the world average of 67.2 . The death rate from tuberculosis is around 10 times the European average also the infection rate of HIV has increased.
Although the WHO report does not seem too satisfying , Azerbajins economy has experienced enormous growth over the last 10 years. Especially because of its huge mineral deposits Azerbajin was able to improve is BIP in 5 years (2000-2005 ) from 652 to 1.400 Us-dollar
One of the main points to avoid the spreading of diseases is to cause awareness in the affected countries. By causing awareness and giving people the necessary education the disease wont die out , but it makes it possible to get it under control and it decreases the possibility of further infections . Also by handing out appropriate equipment we can make sure that everyone , protects himself and so avoids the spreading of the disease.
Also the immunization of travlers should become a mayor issue . By setting up travel restrictions and supporting a stricter control of immunizations , the spreading of diseases could get at least under some control.
Azerbajin thinks that the combating of international diseases is an important issue and we will support and work together with all nations who agree with us in preventing pandemics .
