The Internet is a technology less than a quarter of a century old that several billion people use in their daily lives. Governments use it to store data and help a nation stay informed. Like most nations, Hungary has a government website and stores government information on computers. This makes our nation vulnerable to hackers. Other nations, including China, Russia, Syria and some Western nations have set up task forces
To hack other nation’s computers and keep information on them. Hungary will not comment on any actual or potential cyber attack. But its allies have had to confront such attacks take place stealing documents and other types of code. Hungary condemns such attacks, but has not yet formulated a position on how to best counteract and confront those nations launching cyber attacks.
Though open to interpretation they have seen cyber attacks widen in the Middle East and have began to watch their Internet for such attacks.
Hungary is less fully prepared to counteract cyber attacks and sides with its allies that these attacks need to stop immediately. Hungary is apart of NATO, which has countries that have been attacked in it. NATO has a system set up in case of a cyber attack; all member nations are against all cyber warfare. Hungary is also against all cyber warfare. China is not a part of NATO; China is the main threat of cyber attack, yet Hungary is friendly with the nation of China, as China is a communist nation and Hungary is a former communist nation. However, China is an ally of Syria. Hungary is not; Hungary is an ally with the United States. The US and China rely far too much on each other to break out into war. According to China, the United States is China’s greatest ally and enemy.
Hungry stands by NATO in saying they do not believe in cyber warfare and think its wrong. Hungary does not participate in cyber warfare but is willing to consider all opinions in this body
