The United States recognizes a huge issue when it comes to dealing with climate shift in the world. America knows that there needs to be a change, but one has not been improved in any way which sets up a difficult life for the generations ahead of us. The CIA informs the United States that long term effects of climate shift is desertification, rising sea levels, population shifts, and heightened competition for natural resources which is what the USA wants to avoid.
The USA is passionate about this topic because in a long span of time we are now setting up disaster for future generations if we do not take a stand on this topic now. For some Americans, who are farmers, enjoy the warm climate because it allows for a longer harvesting season; however, it’s been admitted that by having warmer temperatures and more erratic rains, it’s expected to lower harvests by the end of the century.
Some ways that the United States are thinking about regulating their greenhouse emissions is by capturing and storing millions of tons of heat-trapping carbon by rebuilding organic matter in the soil and reducing methane emissions by reusing manure to create biogas for energy. The United States would like to partnership with China because the USA and China believe that if the world shifts away from using carbon-heavy fuels like coal, there will be proof of energy efficiency and it will reform the agriculture sector.
