The United Nations is obviously a very important organization that makes the world more safe and connected. But there are a lot of problems in the United Nation in both how we operate internally and how we our solutions affect the citizens of the world. Improving the accountability of the United Nations is something that we should focus on since anyway that we could increase our effectiveness would be a great service to us and to the world.

One major problem that has been a huge blow to the credibility of our fine organization has been the peacekeepers. While the Peacekeepers are a great idea and one that we feel is necessary for protecting citizens during the time of war, currently it seems as if some Peacekeepers are doing more harm than good. There are reports from many different areas in the world where the citizens are already hurt from conflict and damaged beyond comprehension, and we are hearing that these Peacekeepers are raping the citizens and causing further harm. This is unacceptable and we need to make sure that these Peacekeepers face the correct punishment, as decided by the UN as a whole body.

We also need to have more transparency with the ways that the UN operate, to make sure that the countries of the UN are making decisions based on what would help the countries of the world instead of what would help only their country. We need to start thinking of the world as an international community, instead of separate countries.
