Benin recognizes the seriousness of bringing back child soldiers into a safe and stable community. We also recognize the issues and hardships that come with providing shelter and putting the children back into a normal routine. The problem of providing for child soldiers have become significantly harder through the past years. It is our belief that we do our best as a developing country to keep the children out of harms way and do what we can to ensure the safety and best interest of the child. We believe that our committee can make this possible and help find a solution to the arising problem.
As a developing country we will do what we can to provide help for the children who have been put in such a horrifying predicament. We see that the problem is a big conflict, and Benin would like to put ideas on how to deal with the conflict. As a develop country we also have some concerns on what criteria the resolution will have. Where would the hosting families be? What criteria must the family have to be a hosting family? Would the children be put into special schools or jobs? A good resolution must address these questions and also provide a way to help the children with out harming the economy of countries. A good resolution will provide ways to provide housing and schooling for child soldiers with out damaging economies.
Benin hopes and plans to help provide new ways and ideas on how to solve the issue of bringing child soldiers back home. Benin also believes that a good resolution will have an effective solution to all the above questions and concerns.
