There are a handful of biting insects within our country of Estonia such as flies, ticks, fleas and even aquatic snails. The most common case is the mosquito. These insects can and will cause the spread to other numerous diseases such as Malaria, Yellow Fever, Lyme disease, and dengue fever. My country of Estonia has come up with a diverse amount of contributions to help eliminate the biting insect populations. We have found that the best way to reduce the populations is to eliminate places where insects breed. Standing water provides the ideal breeding ground for mosquitos. So, little techniques and duties over time will help control the population of these insects. The techniques are to drain or fill low areas on your property, clean drains, ditches, culverts, etc. to ensure proper drainage. Fill in the hollow stumps that may hold water and replace it with sand or concrete, keep the grass and shrubs on your property well-trimmed. By turning over canoes, small boats and wheelbarrows stored outside, cover them with tap to avoid a biting insect to breed and lay their larvae. Our country of Estonia play a large role in supporting other nations in our regions with the similar outbreak because as humans we know and understand that the approach to the vector-born disease takes time, environmental and also social behaviors in order to stop it. Organizations such as the Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) and U.N. Environmental Programme (UNEP) are just a few us Estonians contribute too. The reporting systems use within Estonia are that whether we use pesticides to prevent contamination, or eliminating vectors from their food supply, a broad-based approach has to be done. These disease are causing more than 1 million deaths annually and we strive to see a change within this era. Our organizations discuss and take action to our food by treatment plans for fruits, vegetables, and meats. FAO identified key priorities on which is best placed to help and develop. FAO enables inclusive and efficient agricultural food systems because most of the world’s poor live in rural areas. They help eliminate the hunger and malnutrition so that people are not dreaded with eating food leading to diseases. A stakeholder communication should be identified to see the different levels of groups that may be interested in contributing. Some VBD’s, such as malaria, have attracted different countries and regions world-wide in areas where the diseases were found. Therefore, it is just that it is proposed to some level of NGO, nationally or internationally.
