In 2011, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights published a report, as requested by the Human Rights Council, detailing the treatment of LGBT people internationally, and what role international policy making might play in ending violence against LGBT people, as well as stopping other violations of their human rights.
Estonia is known to be the first former Soviet Union nation to legalize Gay Marriage. After President Putin banned what he called "gay propaganda". Homophobia was running rapid as time rolled by. But in a close result reflecting the split in society, parliamentarians voted 40 to 38 in favor of the new legislation, which will from 2016 give gay couples the same legal rights as married couples. So as a result love concurs all and we Estonians feel that it is fair to make our people happy at all costs. But we will still have problems in the future.
We know that by giving LGBT people the right to marry that we are stepping on the toes of some Estonians. We don’t want to do that but if that is what it takes to give people happiness and peace then we feel compelled to help.
Estonian believes that not helping the people of LBGT origin that we would be infringing on their national suvintry as natives of Estonia. Also, we believe that other countries should consider in giving LGBT people there right to happiness like everyone else. We believe that other countries have an obligation to aide to all people.
Finally, we Estonia feel that it is beneficial for other countries to help the LGBT people. If we help one small group we can help other smaller groups of people who just want to happy.
