Disease Outbreak can harm security, health, and peace. Looking further to just harming the health of the individuals affected, it disrupts the economy, and People typically are at unrest when they are aware of a disease outbreak. Disease threatens the lives of many people and is one of the biggest killers in the world. Vaccinations and other preventatives have been taken in the past in hopes of preventing disease outbreaks, but managing what goes on during thee outbreak can seem pretty chaotic and uncontrollable.
With the widespread of diseases like the Zika virus and Ebola, it is important that we keep things under control. Liberia with the world health organization has participated in signing with International Health Relations (IHR) to ensure that they are legally binding to keep the disease contained. By taking these actions to contain the sick, we can treat them, and not let them out to affect other healthy individuals.
As of right now, we are still fighting certain diseases, and taking action to conatain, cure, and prevent others from contracting the disease. We can give preventative vaccines and warn people of the dangers of coming near those infected with the disease. Educating the people and taking preventative steps to lower the risk of outbreak is what we must do. Helping sanitation and ensuring the cleanliness of those harmed can really help the issue as well, which is why we are also implementing safer drinking water, as well as helping sanitation.
