We the people of Somalia bring you our opinion on the topic of net neutrality here today. In somalia we do not have many internet capabilities but we have some. Representing somalia here today we would rather focus our time and resources on rebuilding our own country’s economy and government. We would however like to see a expansion on developing internet in countries that don't have the capabilities to expand their own.
In committee we would like to have many things answered. Our first concern that we would like fulfilled is the fact that many countries don't have internet and how will we as a committee work to expand internet coverage. Another concern of ours is how we will work towards allowing country's national sovereignty while keeping the rights of internet providers.
Furthermore we would support resolutions that helped us expand our internet coverage in our country. Due to the fact that only 1.15% of the people in our country have access to the internet we would like to expand our internet coverage but we would much rather focus our time on fixing our broken government or economy as well as fighting Al Qaeda. We would be open to resolutions that promote the fighting of al qaeda using cyber attacks and electronic weapons.
In summary we would like to find resolutions that expand the internet capabilities of less devolved nations and resolutions that expand that as well as resolutions that use electronic weapons and cyberattacks to attack false states like Al Qaeda.
