Space. Time. The Unknown. We as human beings are drawn to the vastness of Space; we are humbled and motivated by time; and we seek to conquer and venture into the unknown. Right now, we are at the brink of making Space open to not only government organizations, but to the public. This historical point in time opens endless opportunities to people all over the world. Innovation and competition will skyrocket, granting safer and more efficient and economic space technology. With the backing of private corporations, governments, and citizens, space exploration and transit will soar with success. While the advantages of opening up Space access to the public are tremendous, there are dangers in this rapid spread of transparency. The dangers in regards to space transit include: safety and poorly regulated traffic. We, as a global delegation, need to establish a coherent and fair series of laws that will make space exploration and transit innovative, educational, and economic.
Hungary is intrigued at the endless opportunities that space offers. Our country has established a humble yet effective civilian space program, simply called The Hungarian Space Office (HSO). This space program works with other European countries to explore space and create newer and more effective technology. HSO also has ties with many other powerhouse space countries such as the U.S (NASA). Furthermore, Hungary acknowledges the bounty that Space offers and looks forward to establishing well versed and thought out series laws that will make Space available and faiar for everyone.
The Delegation of Hungary believes there is no side to this topic. We all agree that legislation must take effect if mass space transit commences at a global level. With this in mind, Hungary has a sequence of laws that will need to be enforced to ensure a successful transition from government control to public control of Space exploration and transit. The UN will take charge of this delegation. No need to establish a secondary group of nations that will only dilute our goal. The Delegation of Hungary looks forward to working with countries that see the amazing opportunities that Space has to offer and want to make a level playing field for all.
