Private sector access to outer space, is businesses and companies buying out parts of space to test things in and to put up their own satellites so as to make using their Services cheaper which would in turn make competition, which would lead to better innovations, which means better products, which means we can progress into the future.
We’re currently not to focused on this issue and are more focused on cleaning up the space litter in our atmosphere and not to interested in the affairs of private companies as we deem space litter a real issue. but it does have it’s benefits because now satellite usage would become significantly cheaper and more widely used. so, in conclusion this doesn’t directly affect singapore but does give everyone benefits.
Singapore suggests that we allow this to happen but keep it limited so as to let the various governments have space for their satellites and space activities, to broaden on the topic, we don’t want companies to interfere with the governments, so perhaps have a section of space where they’re allowed to operate without putting a wrench in the works of the government. In conclusion, singapore does not see this as an important issue but instead believes that we should focus on cleaning our atmosphere, but if we were to focus on this we believe that the company's usage should be kept small so as not to interfere with the governmental side of things, but enough that they can use this to create new innovations and push us towards the future.
