Nigeria recognizes the significance of the ecosystem in their countries and other countries like it. Many people come to Africa to see the exotic animals and ecosystems that cannot be found in their own home lands. A unique ecosystem for Nigeria is partly what makes the country what it is, and may urge people to travel there, rather than a Paris or Rome. So, to keep the tourist flow, it is important first implement a plan to keep it thriving.
Part of what makes the Nigerian environment different from others that are attempted to be saved, is that the people of Nigeria live so close to their environment and wouldn't be able to survive without it. 42 % of the farmable land in Nigeria is used by farmers everyday, just to support a living for their families and themselves.
Within Nigeria, there is a organization called the National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA) which controls “the protection and development of the environment, biodiversity conservation and sustainable development of Nigeria's natural resources in general and environmental technology”. Nigeria is constantly working to create and maintain a flourishing ecosystem.
Natural resources are a large source of income for the Nigerian economy, and as a result there are many fumes that are released in the making and distributing. To make sure the goals of biodiversity are met Nigerian oil companies should be offered a set amount for the companies who excrete the least amount of pollution in the air. Overall, Nigeria does understand that strategies should be implemented in our country and others to preserve the natural beauty and dependability of the current ecosystem.
