The Republic of Angola believes that nations can benefit greatly from using sport as engine for development. It encourages the construction and improvement of infrastructure and generally benefits all aspects of a nation. This was the case when we as a nation hosted the Africa Cup of nations. If we were to do so again, we would benefit greatly. Our country has vast mineral and petroleum deposits, and the economy is quickly growing, however we are still in need of help. country has very low living living standards for the citizens of the Republic of Angola, the low living standards affect the majority of the people in Angola. Our citizens face low life expectancy and also high infant deaths that are some of the worst in the world. We need to get our economy up and running. Hosting the African Cup of Nation would bring tourism to the country bringing in money which will be used to help our citizens. We can create programs for our citizens to help them get out of poverty and help them with their health. Since they have low life expectancy so we want to improve our medical institutions in our country. This will also help our problem with infant mortality rates and help the infants grow up to be productive Angolan citizens. This in turn will help our economy and push our nation down a path where we will no longer be a developing country that has most of its population in poverty and has terrible medical institutions making our people's life expectancy short.
