The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea’s Stance on the situation in Palestine.
The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea does not recognize Israel. They are nothing more than an imperialist satellite. Palestine should have sovereignty over territory held by Israel, other than the Golan Heights. Despite our isolationist policy, we do recognize the Golan Heights as a part of Syria much like the rest of the International Community. Israel has committed many atrocities during its time as a, “state,” and thusly needs to be removed from representation in supranational organizations such as this one.
Israel does not deserve sovereignty over Palestine’s land. The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea have always been strong supporters of the movement in Palestine. In the 1970’s the Glorious Kim Il-Sung would send aid and arms to Palestine as a way to help keep the movement alive. As time went on our aid in the region slowly declined however we still stand in strong support of Palestine’s sovereignty. Israel has no right to self-determination after such crimes against humanity as the 2008-09 Israel-Gaza Conflict where Israeli soldiers openly murdered unarmed citizens, clearly threatening the Middle East Peace Process. This still wouldn’t be the last of the Israeli offences. They committed yet another crime against humanity, in the 2010 Gaza Flotilla Raid, this one being perpetuated by those imperialist pigs from the United States. It doesn’t get better, four years later Israel is still killing defenseless citizens in Gaza, which we also harshly denounce. The Israeli people are monsters who do not deserve the land they’ve stolen.
Palestine is entirely the rightful owner to the land currently held by Israel. Throughout the conference, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea will work studiously to right this long-standing wrong in human history and bring justice and a peace of mind to the people of Palestine, and set them up to prosper for years to come. We will not allow injustices like these to go under the radar any longer.
