GLICA Technology Policy
GLICA has consistently prohibited the use of technology — such as laptops and smartphones — during committee sessions, with limited exceptions for essential personal use. This policy fosters an environment where delegates remain engaged in committee proceedings, rely on prior research and preparation, and participate in a more equitable experience, recognizing that not all students have equal access to technology. In line with these values, GLICA also prohibits the use of generative artificial intelligence (e.g., ChatGPT or similar tools) to produce position papers or any work generated during the conference, including speeches, resolutions, and amendments. Delegates found to be in violation of this policy may be deemed ineligible for individual or delegation awards.
