Nigeria believes strongly in keeping the peace in all countries. However Nigeria recognizes that there is a large problem with countries allowing violence because of xenophobic reactions. These outbursts of xenophobic violence should not be tolerated under the law of the country and by international laws sanctioned by the United Nations.
Nigeria thinks that xenophobic reactions are a combination of irrational fear and overall hatred of outside influence by foreigners. This irrational fear can lead to violence even death in some cases just because where someone is from. This is discrimination at a outrageous level and no country should allow this. Not only is it immoral for a country to allow this but also it makes that country look bad to the world and the United Nations
