The sovereign state of Luxembourg; and the rest of the European Union, believes that the violence in Egypt should come to an end. The Egyptian military and Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood should sit down together and negotiate a way for Egypt to have peace and help bring more stability to the Middle Eastern region.
The state of Luxembourg and the European Union believe that the Egyptian military has gone too far in cracking down on any sort of opposition to their policies, and fighting against its own citizens. The state of Luxembourg fears that Egypt will not become a democracy, but instead will become an authoritative, non-democratic regime if the Egyptian military decides to continue on this path.
Our same worries are also directed towards Egyptian political groups such as the Muslim Brotherhood. We fear that the Muslim Brotherhood may try to cause more civil unrest and continue contributing to the violence that is occurring in Egypt. In addition, the Muslim Brotherhood needs to show the citizens of Egypt and the International community that it will not try to gain complete power over the Egyptian government. It would not be in the best interests of Egyptian citizens to live under a theocratic, non-democratic regime.
If the major political players in Egypt decided to end the conflict and violence, they should begin the process of negotiating with each other right way in order to bring an end to the unnecessary violence in Egypt. The state of Luxembourg, and most likely other E.U member states, would be willing to help in the negotiating process for peace.
