The most pressing issue related to this matter is would be that it is hard to intervene without using force, also that some countries reject the UN’s offer to help. Peace is hard to achieve, and for some reason the world likes to take the easy way out, that is why we have war. But today I would like to avoid the easy way out and get it done the right way. This is an issue that affects everybody in the world not just one country, even if it is not directly in your country it still affects it. Maybe one country is on the brink of a civil war and you sell/buy from that country that can greatly affect your country. Even if you are on opposite ends of the earth we are still on the same earth.
This directly effects my country because it is happening in my country right now. Crimea is being invaded by Russia for its warm water ports and natural energy. This affects other European countries and some middle eastern countries as well because we trade and sell/buy oil from and with them. We are ready to fight back and this could easily lead to a civil war, which I assume we would all like to prevent, and we can do that but we all need to work together to accomplish a common goal.
Ukraine has not rejected the UN’s help but other counties will, and that is fine with Ukraine because that’s their choice, but we can still provide aid to their people who are helpless or did not have a say in the government’s role or the rebels choice. Our first priority as the united nations is to save lives. Most countries will not reject our help and for those countries we need to have a plan of action. Ukraine proposes that we try to find a peaceful plan before it comes to war which should not be last resort it shouldn’t have to ever come to war. But I know that that’s not an option yet so we have to plan for the worst so if it does come to that then we should not join in the fight otherwise WW3 could erupt, so Ukraine suggests that we only supply materials and open up shelters or send in non-militery workers unless it comes to the worst.
