The United Kingdom strongly believes that the U.N. should be involved in helping countries that have experienced natural disasters, to rebuild and help the country so they can become stable again.
The United Kingdom suggests that the first steps that needs to be taken after a disaster, should be to get doctors, nurses, and workers into the country that has been affected. By doing this, we can help the people of said country recover, so then they can help with the rebuilding process that follows. The people of the country need to recover from the lose that they have just encountered before the can move on and start anew.
Another thing that the U.N. should be concurred about during the process of getting everyone that has been affected back to normal, is how to protect against diseases that can be so easily spread during the process. If people are just getting sick with these new diseases then there will be an increase of the number of fatalities during this time.
The rebuilding process should start by cleaning up the area that has been affected and then move into rebuilding houses and building that can withstand if something like this should ever happen again. By doing this the people will have a place where they can stay and continue on with their lives. The people will not be able to move on after the disaster if they have no place to live. This is not saying that the U.N. should have to be involved in doing of the rebuilding of the country. The county’s government needs to also assist with everything that is decided to help the country.
With this, the U.N. needs to support and try to help the country’s government. After the nature disaster, the government will most likely be harmed in someway or another. It is the U.N.’s job to help the government become stainable once again.
The United Kingdom’s goal is to make this process as easy as it possibly can be for both the government and the people of the country. The United Kingdom is willing to help a country after a disaster has accrued in the best way we can.
The United Kingdom recognizes that this process will take awhile and is not something that can be fixed in a short period of time. The United Kingdoms is dedicated to help provide a safe and healthy environment for the workers and the civilians; so they can work to the best of their abilities, fix and restore the country back to its original state or maybe even in a better state then what it was in before the disaster.
