These days healthcare has become very debatable, whether it be given as a human right or people need to get it themselves and pay for it. We feel that before we talk about healthcare we need to address other needs, like the malnourishment, clean drinking water, and also the spread of AIDS. These particularly apply to us as well as other developing nation. We would like to have a fund set up that will help bring food and clean drinking water into our country as well as a way to educate people on AIDS and figure out ways to contain the virus.
In Zimbabwe the average life expectancy in Zimbabwe is 34 for females and 37 for males. WE have one of the lowest average life expectancy rates in the world. This is due to the fact that our people are malnourished and there is very little clean drinking water. The spread of HIV and AIDS also contribute to the poor life expectancy. Are economy has also been deteriorating leaving us with little we can do for our people. We really need to address these problems before we can address healthcare as a human right. By taking care of these issues it will increase the healthiness of our people allowing them to live longer and also will help Zimbabwe to be more prosperous.
By setting up a fund to help out developing nations like us will allow the people to get better food and clean drinking water instead of the kind that can carry diseases. Also by educating people about the HIV and AIDS virus they will become more aware of the effects and how to protect themselves against it. We hope that China will back us up because of its ties to Africa.
