Let us say that I come and take your candy bar and tell you that it is mine now and that you can have just a little portion of it back. You, however, want the whole candy bar back and will stop at nothing in order to get it back. This is the same situation that Palestine and Israel have been in for many years now. We the United Nations, as a whole, need to create a plan in order to get these two nations to stop the violence. After we stop the violence, we need to decide whether or not Palestine should get statehood and if so, what form. It is among the best interest of every country to get these Palestine and Israel to stop fighting. This is the first step in bringing peace in the Middle East.
The People’s Republic of China firmly believes that Palestine should receive full statehood with East Jerusalem as its capital. It is an inalienable right that we should not be withholding from the Palestinian people. The People’s Republic of China knows exactly what Palestine is going through at this moment in time. We were once under the control of another country until we broke away and became our own nation. As you can see, we are doing exceptionally well. China believes that if we give Palestine the chance to gain full statehood and some time to develop, they can become a strong independent nation. Palestine was admitted into the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) due to ECOSOC resolution 2089. China believes that Palestine should receive full statehood and we will give them our support.
The People’s Republic of China believes that Palestine should keep arguing for full statehood. China will back them up and support their fight back against the imperialists known as the Israelis. In order to create peace between Palestine and Israel, the western nations need to stop interfering and keep their own selfish views to themselves. Until then, China will support the efforts put forth by Palestine for full statehood and for getting their country back.
