As of today the world is facing a problem in gender equality. In many countries, women are expected to stay at home and not work. A solution to this problem of gender inequality is providing equal education for women. Women have proven throughout history that they are just as capable as the men they face opposition with in their daily lives. Women can and are just as successful as men, but this cannot be observed properly without providing girls with education. Even if only a primary education, not that is should be limited to primary education, was provided to all girls, they would prove so much more successful.
Educational resources should be supplied equally to both boys and girls. In Japan, we provide equal education, educational resources, and educational opportunities to both boys and girls. In certain societies,where high percentages of women are uneducated, social views of women interfere with girls receiving an equal education. These misconceptions of the women's place in society should be addressed. Cultural biases of this nature are invalid, as proven by women throughout history, and must be overcome.
As of now, there are societies which do not see value in women. Therefore they are the first to be cut from educational provisions. This can only be addressed by providing girls with the equal education of boys so they can prove that women are valuable within society. Times are changing and women are making big impacts on the world, if provided with proper education throughout the world, they will prove successful. Japan is willing to support efforts to improve access to education for all girls.
