The issue of terrorists or terrorist groups acquiring weapons of mass destruction is a serious threat for the nation of Saudi Arabia. The nation of Saudi Arabia has struggled with charity organizations rerouting funds to militant organizations, and despite government crackdowns, these organizations have sprung up internationally under different names. Since the nation of Saudi Arabia is also home to the Islamic holy site of Mecca, practitioners of radical Islam have an opportunity to congregate during pilgrimages and fundraise for terrorist causes.
The nation of Saudi Arabia recognizes that terrorism is not only a serious threat to the health and safety of our nation, but to that of the international community. Thus, Saudi Arabia is interested in continuing it's work to curtail this threat through means such as prohibiting fundraising on the streets, monitoring charities financial records, and sponsoring campaigns to help educate the Saudi public about terrorists's fundraising methods.
Saudi Arabia is also an opponent of Middle Eastern nuclear proliferation and would be interested in measures to increase security for weapons stockpiles, particularly in the Middle East. Proliferation of other WMDs such as biochemical weaponry is also a concern of Saudi Arabia's, especially considering the recent usage of chemical warfare in the Syrian conflict. Saudi Arabia would support nonproliferation deals with nations known to possess such weapons, including measures that would curtail the abilities of nuclear development programs and an increase in communication between nations of the Middle East in particular.
