Costa Rica as a country of the United Nations has not been a major part that took action in Egypt during th Revolution and after Morsi’s overthrow. But our nation has a general opinion on attack to human right and dictatorial headings of states.
We, as the Republic of Cost Rica don’t have a Military. We believe that peace is necessary for a live of freedom and happiness. Our country is the base of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights and the United Nations University of Peace and we believ that a peaceful world doesn’t necessarily has to have a military that is why our Nation doesn’t own one.
As a way to secure stability and growth our main foreign policy object is to foster human rights and sustainable development.
Without a military we aren’t attending in any kind of war. Combined with that we aren’t supporting any non peaceful situations.
The United Nations should support the Egypt in human ways. that means the first goal for the United Nations should be to make Egypt a democratic country and continue on supporting the caretakers in fixing what has got broken.
It should be the UN’s major interest to make Egypt a safe country for the citizens. The citizens of Egypt made a revolution to solve major problems of their own nation. The United Nations should support a revolution that goes the right ways with all their Power. In our opinion attacks to human rights should never remain in impunity.
Egypt has had a tough Revolution and there have to be steps to make a bright future for this country.
