Tunisia supports the autonomy of Kurdistan, however it does not wish to insert itself in political Turkish, Iraqi, Irani, and/or Syrian entanglements with Kurdistan.
Recently, Tunisia has opened flights from Tunisia to Erbil – the Kurdish capital city. Both Tunisian and Kurdish officials believe that the new trade route will be beneficial to creating a close relationship between the two sides. Representatives from each country believe that the opening of the airport will help to create strong ties in trade and economy. Tunisia wishes to establish even stronger relations with Kurdistan, but will continue to consent the Iraqi government before establishing these relations.
Tunisia and Kurdistan support each other as both governments move towards fairness and equality. Tunisia will continue to establish industrial and economic relations with Kurdistan and wishes to help further the Kurdish economy, but Tunisia itself remains neutral on the topic of Kurdish independence as a sovereign nation.
However, because Tunisia supports the United Nations' stance on self-determination, Tunisia will promote equal human rights for Kurds in Turkey, Iraq, Iran, and Syria, but since the Arab League rejects the Kurdish call for independence, Tunisia complies with its decision as a group.
In conclusion, Tunisia will continue to promote trade and industrial/economic growth in Kurdistan, and respects and supports Kurdish autonomy and the human rights of its citizens, but cannot support its independence. Tunisia wishes to maintain peaceful ties with other countries in the Arab League while also furthering its trade and industry. For the time being, Tunisia's relationship with Kurdistan will remain industrial and economic, and Tunisia will continue to establish diplomatic relations with Kurdistan.
