As the council of Norway we believe that with changes in time come changes in technology in all countries. This means that there will be stronger weapons being made by countries all over the world. We believe that most of the countries in the middle east should be more restricted with their nuclear weapons because they want to control the world. We believe that some countries should be “nuclear free zones”, because we believe that if these weapons of mass destruction fall into the wrong hands they could start a nuclear war. We believe that the idea of “nuclear free zones” is practical for the safety of everyone.
We believe that countries can be encouraged to become more active in their efforts to accelerate the process of nuclear disarmament by looking back at the effects on Hiroshima and bikini beach, both of those places are still un-inhabitable because of the nuclear weapons that were detonated in those regions. To convince other countries to get rid of their nuclear weapons those countries will have to suffer severe civilian casualties for them to fully understand the effects of nuclear weapons.
We believe that to encourage those states who are not members of the NPT to ratify the treaty and dismantle their weapons the world must be at peace. The world will never be at peace so we must create peace treaties to compromise for that peace. We believe that if we make peace around the world the countries will have no problem dis arming the nuclear weapons.
