The current global issue with LGBT peoples stems from religious and personal moral choices to disagree with a man marrying a man or a woman engaging with a woman, and so on and so forth. Many debates arise from the conflicts because of the debate whether, in legal terms, two men or two women are truly a “couple.” Another issue arises from when a man identified as a woman, or vise versa.
The nation of Angola supports the “LGBT” (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transsexual) community and its strives toward marriage equality. However, Angola disagrees with effort to grant LGBT citizens advantages over heterosexuasl relationships, such as protections from public discrimination, or changing the population’s views forcefully and entirely. Obviously as a sovereign nation, Angola does not condone any discrimination toward any group, be a sexual group or no. As a result, Angola will support any resolutions or agreements to make any individuals equal to others. As stated, Angola will grant no special advantages or protections for LGBT peoples from social interactions between individuals from discrimination because that would enable them to be equal to all others. In regards to legal marriage, Angola would be interested with recognizing LGBTs as couples rather than purely individuals. There is also a large issue with citizens identifying as a man or woman who, by birth, are the opposite sex. This can be easily averted by allowing these citizens to identify as they please, only if their anatomy is a fitting description of a male or female.
