The situation in Israel and Palestine is complicated because both countries have been fighting for over a century. These conflicts haven't been resolved over the years. In 1948 the region of Israel and Palestine began to start a war and over a million Palestinian refugees fled to neighboring countries. There were so many refugees that other countries began to start conflict. Both Israel and Palestine have been in the same state this entire time with both still at war… nothing has changed. This was all due to one bad decision by the UN all these years ago and we as the UN need to clean up our mess. We hope to solve this issue. Palestine and Israel must come to an agreement, the fighting must end. After all, the damage done to each country is quite large. The before and after photos are heartbreaking and we as the UN must know that this is our doing. Now we must come together to fix it.
Argentina believes that Palestine is recognized and is a free independent state. We would love for the legitimate aspiration of the Palestinian people for a secure, united democratic and economically visible state co-existing peacefully with Israel. We believe that peace in the entire Middle East is the key to finally end this century long conflict. Why? If other countries have split opinions then they will take side with either Israel or Palestine. Argentina does not want this, we want the neighboring countries to agree with us that the conflict needs to end which thus creates no influence on the countries giving them a realization they have no one on either side with them. We believe that through partnerships with both country's and a meeting to talk and settle what is wrong and what is right on both sides, could possibly be the most simplest and effective way to end this conflict. It was back in after WWII that Israel was given rights to the disputed territory by the UN, taking the Palestinians land. We believe that we as the UN failed and made things worse by coming to that decision.
Argentina is greatly displeased by the way things have been handled in the Middle East, we ask for just a chance for people to listen. To talk, and to figure out what we can do in person and identify each countries views. Palestine has been wronged and it is we as the UN's duty to fix it. Argentina asks for the neighboring countries to join them as if that happens they will realize that at this point they are just shedding meaningless blood, then they will stop the fighting and a meeting can finally occur between all the neighboring countries. All we ask if for cooperation and hope to receive it the 29th. Compromise is the key to ending conflict. Argentina is pleased to help solve this issue.
