The Situation in Israel/Palestine is intensifying at an alarmingly fast pace with no sign in stopping without outside interference. This problem started around the nineteenth century when tensions between Arab Muslims and Israeli Jews began. The conflict is mainly based off the ownership of the lands and religious persecution. The Palestinians have traced their connection to the land for generations, though the European Jews traced their religious roots back to the Holy Land of Israel where Jewish kings and prophets once prospered. On the persecution side of things the European Jews had a massive spike in anti-semitism resulting in persecution in the late 1800s and early 1900s leading up to one of the biggest religious based genocides of all time, the Holocaust. These circumstances have created a great divide between the two peoples. This divide has often lead to arguments on who should get the land, inevitably turning violent.
Burkina Faso has held close relations with Palestinians ever since Burkina Faso replaced its pro-Israeli leadership to a more Arab friendly view on things after a new president seized power. Burkina Faso has also voted with Palestinians in many United Nations Assemblies on their resolutions ever since then. An example of this would be in 2012 when Burkina Faso helped vote for Palestinian rights in Israel. Burkina Faso has somewhat neutral relations though relations have diminished, especially after we switched our previously pro-israeli campaign to a more pro-palestinian campaign.
The plan for Burkina Faso is to help get the highly misrepresented Palestinians a place back in their homeland nearly completely ruled by the Israelis. They have been constantly pushed from a homeland they were proven to own generations ago only by the fact that it is claimed to be the Jew’s Holy Land. Burkina Faso does not believe the Israelis should be completely kicked out of their homeland. That would only stir up more bad blood between the two nations. Rather, Burkina Faso suggests that the Palestinians make a treaty with the Israelis that they share the land more evenly and help each other through trade and such. Letting them do this on their own would only lead to a blood bath however. We should have this treaty overseen by a bigger, more powerful and influential country (preferably with a big army to support it) to help reinforce this law and make no conflicts break out between these two peoples. Once they are on better terms, slowly remove that bigger country’s influence until the Israelis and the Palestinians have their own economy and can work off of each other peacefully.
