Education is an important base of every country. As funding decreases, countries tend to cut resources primarily to inhibit the educational opportunities for females. In Germany, education at the University level is approximately equal between male and female students. For a country to prosper it is important that both genders are given the right of educational equality. One issue that needs to be addressed in poverty stricken areas is that concerning the inferiority of females. This has proved itself false in Germany. From 1991 to 2004 the percentage of women had access to university studies rose above that of men. Although Germany urges other countries to model its educational programs it must be understood that all nations have been granted national sovereignty. It is also understood that certain economical status of nations may inhibit the ability to improve educational standards.
Germany takes great pride in the educational standards exhibited from its students presently. We recognize the importance of international education and gender equality throughout the educational spectrum. It is clear that various cultures value the education of women differently and have other standards for the women in their societies. However, it is important to address these issues because the future of every country depends on the education of its youth as a whole. Not creating equal opportunity for women and men to be educated and continue to be educated will only inhibit the growth of the country that is addressed. In order for countries, which are seeking new educational programs to put these in place, campaigns should be held to promote the programs.
